Extreme Snowboard and Ski is a family-owned and operated Banner Elk ski rental company, specializing in retail and rentals for snowboard and ski equipment and outdoor apparel. Conveniently located in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains at the entrance of Sugar Mountain, Extreme Snowboard and Ski offers a wide range of products—Neff products, Loki products (jackets, hats, and fleeces), Arbor Snowboards, and Lib Tech Snowboards—so you and your family will have everything you need for a fantastic day on the slopes.

Your family deserves the best. The Extreme Snowboard and Ski repair department is the superlative in the High Country with a state of the art Wintersteiger Micro 91 used to repair and refine the bottoms of boards and skis. Our repair techs have 10 to 20 years of experience refurbishing and tuning boards and skis.

Do you rent ski blades?
No, we rent a releasable 120cm ski called an easy crave ski in lieu of non releasable 99cm ski blades. Ski Blades have been linked to high occurrence of spiral fractures and therefore Extreme has taken ski blades out of its rental fleet for our customer’s safety.
Do you offer groups rates and how many does it take to make a group?
Yes we offer group rates. 15 percent for all of our groups with 10 or more people.
Do you offer a multi-day discount rate on rentals?
